Technology Associates History
Technology Associates, (TA), was established in 1990 by space engineer,
Dr. Irving Ojalvo, a pioneer in the application of advanced technology to
the reconstruction of over 1,500 accidents and other events in civil and
criminal litigation since 1978. His computer analyses and biomechanics
simulations, buttressed with a detailed knowledge of structural and dynamic
behavior of materials, have been used in the service of both plaintiffs and
defendants. The expert testimony of Dr. Ojalvo and his staff of Civil,
Electrical, Biomedical, Materials, Chemical and Mechanical engineers,
with advanced degrees and many publications, has often meant the difference
of millions of dollars in settlements for his clients, as illustrated in
some case histories described earlier.
Before establishing his own engineering and consulting firm (based in
Connecticut with satellite offices in New York and Florida), Dr. Ojalvo
worked for 35 years as a professor and aerospace engineer for Columbia
University, the University of Bridgeport, Grumman Aerospace and
Perkin-Elmer Corporations, contributing numerous design ideas and
studies for the Lunar Module, Space Shuttle, Princeton Fusion Test Reactor
and the Hubble Space Telescope. A structural dynamics specialist, Dr.
Ojalvo teaches an advanced course in this field as related to dynamic
modeling for NASA and Launch Space, Inc. in Washington, D.C. He has
received many engineering awards including the Bullard Chair from the
University of Bridgeport and a special citation from NASA. He was also
named a Fellow of the ASME for his significant contributions to Mechanical
Engineering. His software algorithms are in use around the world.
